Is Nationwide Building Society cooking the books?

In a 'David -v- Goliath' confrontation, an elderly ethnic man is demanding compensation for losses and damages from Natiowide Building Society for gross bad service. In a letter that has to be seen to be disbelieved, Nationwide has vociferously attacked the claim for compensation using dates in the customer's account, however 'David' has fired a slingshot in the eye of NBS by pointing out that the transaction dates on his Nationwide account statements which their argument revolves around are in fact incorrect. NBS will probably put this down to human error of which they have made numerous with this gentleman, but to others it will be seen as a cynical and dispicable ploy to avoid paying compensation. Will the Financial Services Authority step in before there is blood on the Boardroom floor of Nationwide? watch this space

It appears that Graham Beale is no more courteous and polite than some of his errant staff. He has failed to acknowledge a legitimate complaint directly and has failed to acknowledge letters sent recorded delivery for his personal attention outlining serious allegations against his organisation. It does give the impression that NBS are running scared and has a serious case to answer when they are unable to refute serious allegations even after weeks of investigation, or maybe they are cooking up yet further extraordinary lame excuses that will see them regress further into the abyss.
